Sample collection for laboratory confirmation of fungal infection.
Description
A mycological test is a laboratory confirmation that fungus is present and identifies its type. Without this test, fungal treatment is based on assumption. In the practice we take a sample of the affected nail tissue (painlessly) and send it to the laboratory. The result (microscopy + culture) usually comes back in 3–4 weeks. The price covers both the sample collection and the cost of the laboratory test.

Patients before starting fungal therapy, people for whom earlier treatment didn't help.
What to expect
30 minutes. You receive the laboratory result by e-mail, and we return to the practice with a treatment plan based on the specific pathogen.
